36 members cabinet to be formed today

Staff Correspondent : The new cabinet is being formed with 36 members. Apart from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there are 25 ministers and 11 state ministers in this cabinet.Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain confirmed this information.
Meanwhile calls are being made from the Cabinet Department inviting MPs to join the new Cabinet on Thursday (January 11) to be sworn in.
Many of the current i.e. old cabinet are staying in the new cabinet. Members of parliament who are not in the current cabinet are also getting calls.

Those who are full ministers

A K M Mozammel Haque, Obaidul Quader, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Dr. Deepu Moni, Tajul Islam, Colonel Farooq Khan, Abul Hossain Mahmud Ali, Anisul Haque, Dr. Hasan Mahmud, Abdus Shaheed, Sadhan Chandra Majumdar, RA M Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury, Abdur Rahman, Narayan Chandra Chand, Abdus Salam, Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel, Farhad Hossain, Md. Faridul Haque Khan, Zillul Hakim, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Nazmul Hasan Papon, Architect Yafes Osman, Samant Lal Sen.
   Among them, architect Yafes Osman and Samant Lal Sen are ministers in the technocrat quota.
   The President will first administer the Prime Minister’s oath at Banga Bhaban on Thursday (January 11) at 7 pm. After that, the President will administer the oath to the Ministers, State Ministers and Deputy Ministers. After the swearing in, a notification will be issued by allocating offices from the cabinet department.
   If the new cabinet takes oath, they will be the new government of the country. The previous cabinet will remain in place until it is sworn in. Once the new cabinet is sworn in, the previous cabinet will automatically be overruled.
   Awami League is forming the government for the fourth consecutive time with absolute victory in the twelfth parliamentary elections. At the same time, through this victory, Awami League President Sheikh Hasina became the Prime Minister of the country for the fourth time in a row and for the fifth time in all.

   299 out of 300 parliamentary constituencies across the country voted for the 12th parliamentary election last Sunday. Meanwhile, the Election Commission announced the result of 298 constituencies while suspending the results of Mymensingh-3 constituencies. In the announced results, ruling Awami League won 222 seats, Jatiya Party 11 seats, Workers Party, Jasad and Kalyan Party one each and independent candidates won 62 seats.
