Customers withdrawing more than deposit

Mahfuja Mukul: Government offices opened on a limited scale from Wednesday as the curfew was slightly relaxed following the clashes and violence surrounding the quota reform movement. Office activities run from 11 am to 3 pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
From Sunday (July 28) to Tuesday, the schedule of government offices is fixed from 9 am to 3 pm. On these three days, bank transactions will continue from 10 am to 3 pm. And the bank will be open till 3:30 for post-transaction activities.
The presence of customers in the bank has increased on Sunday, the first day of the week. Normal transactions are going on in the bank since morning. However, like last few days, the withdrawal rate is higher than the deposit in the bank branch.
This picture can be seen when visiting Motijheel, Dilkusha, Paltan, Dainik Bangla, Fakirapool areas on Sunday. Mahadi was waiting with his family at the local office of Sonali Bank to withdraw money around 11 o’clock that day. He said some cash is needed for urgent work at home. Went to foreign exchange branch. But not getting the money there, I am waiting to come to the local branch to withdraw the money.
Asif Iqbal has come to collect money. He said, I don’t know when the bank will be closed again. For this reason, I came to withdraw money today to keep some extra money in hand. There is still no way to understand the environment. He said that a panic is working among everyone.
Tariq came to Dilkusha Islami Bank branch. He said that during the agitation of the last few days, I did not get money even in the ATM booth of the bank. I spent everything I had. The office will open three days a week, if not later. Because of this I was a little free today so I came to the bank to withdraw money.
An official of the local office of Sonali Bank said that many people need money on the first day of the week. Sometimes it happens because it is closed for two days (Friday-Saturday).
Earlier on Saturday, Public Administration Minister said that government offices will be open from Sunday to Tuesday from 9 am to 3 pm. Banks, insurance and courts will determine the time as they like. After Tuesday the office schedule will be fixed according to the curfew time.
