In the meantime, the vice-chancellors of more than 30 public universities in the country have been forced to resign. The students were accusing them of being associated with the previous government. New vice-chancellors have not been appointed in those universities yet. In many other universities, students are protesting demanding the resignation of the vice-chancellor and others.
Apart from the university, principals of major colleges in different parts of the country including the capital have also been forced to resign. Protests are going on in many places. Even in secondary level educational institutions in various places, the same situation prevails.
