Banks, stock markets opening after 4 days
Staff Correspondent: The bank will reopen today after being closed for four consecutive days due to lockdown. Besides banks, transactions will also be introduced in the stock market.
From Monday, bank transactions will be opened from 10 am to 1.30 pm. And transactions in the stock market will continue from 10 am to 1 pm.
The circular of Bangladesh Bank said the essential branches of the head office of the bank should be kept open with “limited manpower” as much as possible. The principal or main branch of the bank and all foreign trade branches should be kept open through a limited number of vital manpower. In the case of state-owned banks, one branch should be kept open in each district sadar and upazila considering the management of the bank. In the case of all other banks, 1 branch should be kept open in each district sadars and a maximum of 2 branches should be kept open outside the district sadars considering the management of the bank.
