Cold wave sweeping over 3 districts
Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday predicted that a mild cold wave sweeping over three districts of the country is likely to abate in the next 24 hours.
“Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Panchagarh, Kurigram, Jashore and Chudanga and it may abate,” said a Met Office release issued yesterdaymorning.
The Met Office also forecasted that weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 ours commencing at 9:00 am yesterday.
Light fog may occur at places over the country during morning, it added.
Meanwhile, night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 28.2 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in the Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was 08.8 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in the Rangpur division.
