Corona vaccine age limit to be at 18
Staff Correspondent: Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque has said that the government is thinking of lowering the age limit of registration for taking coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine to 18 years.
The health minister made the remark at a function at the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) auditorium in the capital’s Mohakhali yesterday.
The event was organized on the occasion of the inauguration of Covid ICU and Outpatient Department (OPD) Shed at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The health minister said, “There is an instruction from the prime minister to reduce the age limit for registration of Covid-19 vaccine. The National Technical Advisory Committee (NTAC) on Covid-19 has advised the government in this regard. We’re thinking of reducing the age limit for registration. A decision in this regard will be taken soon.”
