Dhaka airport 3rd terminal to be inaugurated in Oct

Staff Correspondent: State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali said the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport will be inaugurated in the first week of October this year. He made the disclosure after taking part in the general discussion on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2023-2024 in the parliament on Sunday.
Mahbub Ali said that a major revolution has been achieved in the aviation sector under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Construction of the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at a cost of Tk 22,118 crore is about to be completed. I believe that we will be able to inaugurate this terminal in the first week of October next upon the permission of the Prime Minister. One of the most modern airports in the world will be operated in our country if this terminal is constructed. Total area of the terminal will be 3 lakh 30 thousand square meters. Annual passenger capacity will be 20 million.
In December 2019, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the construction works of Terminal 3.
