Hasina was mastermind of Pilkhana massacre

India implemented plan

Staff Correspondent: There was a domestic and foreign conspiracy behind the Pilkhana murder. This killing was not for Operation Dalbhat. It is part of a long plan. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was the mastermind behind the Pilkhana massacre. Major General (retd.) Tariq Ahmed Siddique, former prime minister’s security adviser, was involved in this incident. Besides, several leaders of Awami League have cooperated in this incident. Pilkhana massacre happened with the help of India. This murder is intended to make Bangladesh a part of India. Some traitors of the country were involved in the plan of this murder, it was a conspiracy of India. The former army officers said these things in a press conference at the National Press Club on Thursday.
The program was organized on the report of the Army’s inquiry committee into the Pilkhana massacre. In the press conference, former army officer Major General (Retd.) Abdul Mateen also said that the May 5 massacre of Shapla Chattar, election without voters, destruction of education system and justice system, festival of corruption, free reign of disappearances and murders have come from the remnants of this massacre.
In this incident, many lost their jobs, many were denied promotion. If this massacre is not prosecuted through a proper investigation and if the culprits are not brought under exemplary punishment, the newfound freedom gained through the student movement will fall flat. This former army officer said that before the BDR killing, BDR DAD Habib, DAD Jalil, Lancenaik Rezaul, Habildar Monir, Sepahi Salim, Kajal, Shahabuddin, Ekram, Ayyub, Moin, Rubel were at the residence of Awami League leader Sheikh Selim in Banani of the capital on February 13 at 9 pm, Masood, Shahadat and Zakir (civilian) met.
BDR members held several meetings before and after this. Subedar Gofran Mallick gave a rousing speech to the young soldiers. Former Home Minister Sahara Khatun went inside the Pilkhana but did not take any notice from the army officers. Former Minister of State for Home Affairs Sohail Taj helped the accused escape. Political leader Hasanul Haque Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Matia Chowdhury, Mirza Azam, Barrister Fazle Noor Tapas, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, MP Reza, Warset Hossain Belal and many others have helped the murderers in various ways. Major General (Retd.) Abdul Matin said, during 17-18 December 2008, Barrister Fazle Noor had a meeting with Habildar Monir, Sepahi Shahab, Sepahi Monir at Tapas’ house.
On the evening before the election, a meeting was held in the field adjacent to the BDR Darbar by Sepoy Kajal, Salim, Moin, Reza and a few civilians including Zakir. The Army Inquiry Committee faced various hurdles and many agencies concerned refused to cooperate citing directives from ‘higher authorities’. The investigation committee wanted to clarify who was involved in the murder and whose plan it was. But they did not get any help in the investigation. In particular, the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DGFI), the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and the National Intelligence Agency (NSI) did not cooperate with the responsible officials of many agencies.
RAB’s former DG Hasan Mahmud Khandkar also did not cooperate. In addition, former DGFI chief Lt. General Molla Fazle Akbar, former General Aziz, former Lt. General Suhrawardy, former Major General Moin and former Major General Reza Noor have not cooperated with the Army Inquiry Committee in various ways. Journalist Munni Saha published the news and spread the news quickly. Abdul Kahar Akand, a former police officer, staged a farce in the name of investigation.
It was said in the press conference that many important evidences of the murders were destroyed. Especially after the BDR rebellion, the new director general moved to the official residence of the former director general late Major General Shakeel. Then the new director general destroys many signs. When those associated with the inquiry committee by the army started a proper investigation and tried to gather evidence, many officers of the inquiry committee were sacked without notice. Some are sent into compulsory retirement. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given maximum benefits to some army officers involved in this murder and planning.
Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s security advisor Major General (retd) Tariq Ahmed Siddiqui and some army officers were involved in the murder. Each of them received benefits from the Awami League government. 40 Rifles Battalion was the main spearhead of the killings in the name of BDR rebellion. The CO of that battalion was Army 14 Long Course Lt. Col. Sams. His role during the murder was mysterious. The press conference was also informed that on the first day of the alleged mutiny, when the shelling started in Pilkhana on February 25, the para commando team of the army wanted to rescue the army officers and their family members trapped inside. But they were not allowed to conduct the campaign as per the above instructions. It is not clear who those higher authorities are. A group of those involved in the killings were flown out of the country. The identity of those who were in that group was not found. During the killing in Pilkhana, the people of nearby houses recorded some videos on their mobile phones. In the fact that many of those involved in the murder had pictures and activities as evidence. On the instructions of the then Director General of DGFI, the members at the field level deleted the footage from home. A lot of evidence was destroyed in the pillory.
