Huge sufferings due to lack of public transports
Staff Correspondent: Dhaka city-dwellers, especially office-goers, have been suffering immensely due to the lack of public transports from yesterday morning.
All kinds of public transports have remained suspended across the country due to a three-day lockdown beginning from yesterday morning.
With most of the offices, companies and factories operating in full swing, the government’s decision to remain all kinds of public transports suspended has caused the sufferings.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification on a three-day countrywide lockdown on Sunday (June 27).
According to the notification, all kinds of public transports will remain suspended across the country from Monday. However, goods-laden vehicles and rickshaws will remain out of the purview of the restrictions.
The government and private offices will run on limited scale. However, office authorities have to make arrangements for travel under own management, according to the notification.
