Reshuffled in army bureaucracy

Industry Desk: Major General Ziaul Ahsan has been relieved from service.
This information was learnt in a circular sent by the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) yesterday (August 6) afternoon.
According to ISPR, Major General Ziaul Ahsan has been relieved from service.
In addition, Lieutenant General Md. Saiful Alam’s job has been assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lieutenant General Md. Mojibur Rahman has been appointed as GOC Army Training and Doctrine Command, Lt Gen Ahmad Tabrez Shams Chowdhury as Quartermaster General of Army, Lt Gen Mizanur Rahman Shamim as Chief of General Staff of Army, Lt Gen Mohammad Shahinul Haque as Commandant NDC and Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman is given as Director General of NTMC.
Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister on Monday (August 5) and left the country. Her younger sister Sheikh Rehana also left the country. The Cabinet was soon dissolved.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday (August 6), the president announced the dissolution of the national parliament. This information was given in a press release sent to the media from Bangabhaban.
Sheikh Hasina took oath as Prime Minister for the first time on 23 June 1996. After that, he served for three consecutive terms from 2008 to 2024. However, in January this year, Sheikh Hasina could not even complete seven months of her fourth term. He was forced to leave the country in the face of student movement.
