Metro rail performance test on Agargaon-Motijheel route in July: DMTCL MD
Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Managing Director (MD) MAN Siddique said that metro rail will be launched as part of the performance test on Agargaon-Motijheel route in the capital from next July. It is the second part of metro rail.
He said this in the meeting room of metro rail at the Expatriate Welfare Building in the capital yesterday.
MAN Siddique said we will have a performance test first. The system integration tests and trial runs will be conducted. Then it will be run fully.
Earlier, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that metro rail will transport passengers on the Agargaon-Motijheel route from November. On Monday DMTCL MD indicated that we have 6 months. We will finish everything by this time. Everything is within our target.
Highlighting the income of metro rail, he said that till Sunday (April 16), a total of 13 lakh 58 thousand passengers traveled by metro rail and 7 crores 33 lakh taka were earned so far.
