Mexico to open embassy in Bangladesh soon

Diplomatic Correspondent: Mexico will establish an embassy in Bangladesh in the second quarter of this year, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico Marcelo Ebrard said.
He disclosed the decision in a meeting with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr Abdul Momen on the sideline of G20 foreign minister’s meeting at New Delhi on Friday.
With more than 17 crore population, Bangladesh has now become a big player in South Asia, Marcelo Ebrard said.
Mexico is interested to increase business and cooperation with Bangladesh, he said adding that the country wants to focus on medicine, agriculture and technology sectors. However, Bangladesh has an embassy in Mexico.
