Muhammed Abdullah Appointed MD of Journalists Welfare Trust
Staff Correspondent: Renowned journalist and former president of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Muhammed Abdullah, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust. His appointment, approved by the Contract and Foreign Recruitment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration, is for a two-year term.
Muhammed Abdullah began his new role on Thursday afternoon, following his formal joining at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Upon his arrival at the Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust, he was warmly welcomed by the trust’s officers and employees and some members of the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ).
In his new position, Muhammed Abdullah expressed his commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to advance the welfare of journalists across the country.
