New variety of BSRI-48 Sugarcane released
Ishwardi, Pabna: Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute has released another new variety of sugarcane with high yield and high sugar content. The variety was released at the 105th meeting of the National Seed Board held on June 17 while Md. Mesbahul Islam, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture chaired. Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute said it in a press release ysterday. Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University Prof. Dr. Lutful Hasan and Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Bakhtiar praised the variety.
