Non-cadre officers association formed with Khaleq as convenor

Staff Correspondent: A 51-member convening committee for the Assistant Secretary, Senior Assistant Secretary, and Deputy Secretary (Non-Cadre) Association has been established, with Assistant Secretary Md Abdul Khaleq as its convenor.

The committee was formed during a meeting at the Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka on Monday, chaired by Senior Assistant Secretary Md Nazrul Islam.

The gathering decided to organise a general meeting to establish a full-fledged committee, which will include officials from various ministries.

The meeting also extended support to the newly formed Bangladesh Interim Government under Dr. Muhammed Yunus, pledging all necessary cooperation.

The discussions highlighted several key demands, including expedited promotions for underserved officials and the implementation of a new National Pay Scale.

The meeting fwas addressed, among others, by Md Nazmul Haque, Md Kabir Hossain, Md Mosharraf Hossain, Md Kamal Hossain, Md Abu Kayes Akand, Md Habibur Rahman, Md Mostafizur Rahman, Abdul Quader, Md Sultan Ahmed, Md Jasim Uddin, Md Ferdous, Zahida Khatun, Farida Begum, Shamsunnahar Begum, Selim Sikder, and Tofayel Hossain.
