Price of Broiler chicken rises in city market

Staff Correspondent: The price of broiler chicken has increased by Tk 10 per kg within a week in the kitchen markets of the capital.
On the other hand, the price of Pakistani cock or golden chicken has decreased by Tk 50 a kg.
Traders were selling broiler chicken at Tk 160-165 per kg on Friday while the price was Tk 150-155 a kg in the previous week.
Moreover, golden chicken is being sold at Tk250 to Tk270 a kg, which was at Tk 290- TK320 a week ago and red lair chicken is being sold at Tk 220- Tk230.
Apart from golden chicken, the price of new potato has also decreased while the price of old potato has hiked. Besides, fish is being sold at higher price.
Due to increase of supply, the price of some winter vegetables has dropped. But, the price of eggs has remained unchanged. Like the previous week, a dozen of poultry chicken eggs is being sold at Tk100.
