Process underway to buy 1.0 cr doses of Sputnik V vaccine’
Staff Correspondent: Health Minister Zahid Malek has said that a process is underway to buy one crore doses of Sputnik V vaccine from Russia.
The minister said this while responding to a question of Asim Kumar Ukil, MP of Netrokona-3 constituency, at the Jatiya Sangsad yesterday.
There was an agreement to buy three crore doses of vaccine from Seram in India. Of this, we received 70 lakh doses. Efforts are underway to collect the remaining two crore and 30 lakh doses as per the agreement. 70 lakh doses were provided by Seram and 32 lakh doses were received as a gift from the government of India. Out of one crore and 2 lakh doses, one crore doses have been vaccinated, the minister said.
