Quota reform: Student dead in clash with police at Rangpur’s Begum Rokeya University
Rangpur Correspondent: A student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur was killed during a clash between quota protesters and police on the campus on Tuesday afternoon, said police .
The deceased was identified as Abu Sayeed, 22, a 12th batch student of Rokeya University’s English department.
Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Md Maniruzzaman confirmed the death.
He said police fired rubber bullets and tear gas to bring the situation under control, he said.
