Record price hike of Soybean oil in the country’s history

Staff Correspondent: Soyabean oil prices have risen again in the country due to the increase in the price in the world market. The retail price of edible oil has been raised by Tk 7 per litre.
The Bangladesh Edible Oil Refining and Vegetable Growers Association informed the Commerce Ministry yesterday.
From now on, per litre bottled soybean oil will be sold at Tk 160 in retail which was Tk 153 per litre. The organization has refixed the price of crude soybean and crude palm oil due to rising prices in the international market.
Besides, a five-litre bottle of oil will be available at Tk 760, which was Tk 728 so far. The retail price of unpacked soybean oil is Tk 136 per litre while per litre palm oil is 118.
