Salehuddin hopes export earnings to grow by 12.4pc in FY ‘25
Staff Correspondent: Commerce and Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed has said the government has a target to grow export earnings by 12.4 per cent in the current fiscal year, FY2024-25.
“Export earnings in the current fiscal will not be lower than the previous fiscal due to the changed situation. Rather the earnings would be higher than previous time,” the adviser said. Salehuddin Ahmed came up with the statement while briefing reporters after the 59th Board of directors meeting of the Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute and the 146th meeting of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) at the commerce ministry on Sunday.
In reply to a question, the adviser expressed his optimism about getting back the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) facility from the United States.
