Software programs launched to ensure transparency in projects

Staff Correspondent: Two software programmes have been launched aiming at formulating project profile, sending to concerned ministries, processing and approving, and receiving applications for research, scrutinizing and approving those online.
Planning Minister MA Mannan inaugurated the two software named Project Processing Appraisal and Management System (PPS) and Research Management System on Sunday at a function at National Economic Council (NEC) conference room of the Planning Division in the city, said a press release yesterday.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Planning Dr Shamsul Alam and ICT Division Senior Secretary NM Zeaul Alam addressed the inaugural function as special guests with Planning Division Secretary Pradip Ranjan Chakraborty in the chair.
The programmes have been developed under the Strengthen Digital Processing of Projects (SDPP) programme of the Planning Ministry.
Digital Service Accelerator of the a2i programme being implemented under the Cabinet Division and ICT Division with the support from UNDP provided technical support for developing the digital systems.
