30 bus companies of Mirpur route coming under e-ticketing
Staff Correspondent: Buses of 30 companies in Mirpur of the capital are coming under e-ticketing. This system is starting from today.
Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association General Secretary Khandkar Enayet Ullah disclosed this information at a press conference on the ‘E-ticketing system launched in the capital Dhaka’s public transport’ at Eskaton in the capital yesterday.
A total of 60 company buses will operate in Dhaka city from January 31, 2023, while 97 company buses of Dhaka and its suburbs will run under e-ticketing from February 28 next year, he said. Enayet Ullah said, there will be no unequal competition in e-ticketing. Contractual vehicle movement will be stopped. Transport workers will come under the payroll system. All should come under e-ticketing.
He also said in the press conference that a central monitoring cell will be formed to stop vehicles everywhere and stop competition.
