At least a dozen performers are expecting Awami League’s nomination from the showbiz arena in the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections.
In the meantime, some are ahead by collecting nomination papers. Among them are present-day actress Mahia Mahi and actor Shakeel Khan of Dhakai cinema.

Actress Apu Biswas was rumored to be participating in the election, but she told clearly that she has not decided to participate in the election from any particular constituency. But if Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to give him any responsibility, he will fulfill it.
Same goes for actress Aruna Biswas. Although he has been involved in Awami League politics for a long time, he has no intention of getting nominated in the 12th national election. He thinks there are more qualified people in politics. They should participate in the parliamentary elections. Aruna said, ‘I am not collecting any nomination form for the election. But I am on the side of Awami League, as I was in the past, I will remain the same in the future.

Actress Poornima was also buzzing about the nomination in the showbiz arena. But the actress directly told that there is no such plan. In Purnima’s words, ‘Those who have been associated with politics for a long time can expect nomination. I am a child compared to them in politics. Therefore, I have no intention or plan to collect nominations to participate in the elections.
Meanwhile, the list of nominees among the actors is also quite long. Ferdous and Riaz are the most discussed names in the showbiz arena around the upcoming elections. These two heroes have been seen to be directly involved in various political activities of Awami League for a long time. So before the election, the question has arisen, whether they will collect the party’s nomination form or not?
In this regard, Ferdous told on Sunday (November 19), ‘I am waiting for the green signal from the party’s high command. I hope to reach a decision before November 20.
When asked if there is any preferred seat or not, this hero said – Dhaka-17, Comilla-1 and Jessore (he did not mention the seat). There are preparations to participate in the elections in any one of these three constituencies. I will take the rest as the team thinks best.
Although Ferdous is preparing for the election, Riaz has the opposite picture. This hero said that he will not collect the nomination form of Awami League in the 12th national parliament election.
