Ecosystem restoration is a must for ecological balancing: Webinar

Staff Correspondent: Speakers at a webinar said, ecosystem restoration is a must to save the environment and lives.
They came up with the remarks, while addressing a webinar organized by Poribesh Bachao Andolon (POBA) on Saturday on occasion of the World Environment Day-2021 with the theme of ‘Ecosystem Restoration’.
‘Save the nature, Engage the new generation in the environment movement’ was also slogan of this year’s World Environment Day-2021 celebration.
The World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year to increase the global awareness and encourage the youths to protect the environment.
The discussion program was conducted by POBA Secretary and Green Force Coordinator Mesbah Sumon, while POBA General Secretary Engineer Abdus Sobhan presided over the program. Dhaka University former VC AAMS Arefin Siddique attended as chief guest in the program.
Among others, Abu Naser Khan, Chairman of POBA, MA Wahed Rasel, General Secretary of BANIPA, Monwar Hossain, Head of Sustainability (Joint Secretary) in BGMEA, Ferdous Ahmed Uzzal, Editor of Poribesh Barta, Barrister Nishat Mahmud, Golam Mostafa Jibon, Consultant Editor of The Daily Industry, Farzana Yasmeen Popy, Member of Green Force, Abu Sadat Md. Sayem and President of Dhaka University’s Environment Sangsad were present in the event.
