Gold prices rise on local market
Staff Correspondent: Jewellers on Saturday increased the prices of different carats of gold in local market, said a press release. According to the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity, gold prices were raised in line with an increase in prices of the metal in global market.
The jewellers said that the price of 22-carat gold had been raised to Tk 93,429 a bhari from Tk 90,746.
The price of 21-carat gold has been raised to Tk 89,171 a bhari from Tk 86,605 and that of 18-karat gold to Tk 76,458 a bhari from Tk 74,241.
The price of traditional gold has been increased to Tk 63,685 a bhari from Tk 61,878, according to the release. The new price effected in local market from from yesterday.
