Staff Correspondent: In the private sector, the maximum retail price of 12kg cylinder LPG including VAT has been increased from Tk 1,259 to Tk 1,313. The new price will be effective from November.
The new price was announced at a press conference at the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) office in the capital’s Karwan Bazar yesterday. Commission members including chairman Abdul Jalil were present at the press conference.
For November, BERC has increased the price of LPG from Tk 104.92 per kg to Tk 109.42. As a result, the price of a 12kg cylinder has increased from Tk 1,259 to Tk 1,313.
In October, BERC increased the price of LPG from Tk 86.7 per kg (September price) to Tk 104.92. As such, the price of a 12kg cylinder was Tk 1,259 in October.
The price of LP gas used in transportation has also increased – which is popularly known as autogas. For November, the price of autogas has been increased from 58.68 per liter to Tk 61.18 per liter – increased by Tk 2.50 per liter.
