Peter D. Haas holds closed door meet in gwith Saber Chowdhury

Staff Correspondent: US Ambassador to Dhaka Peter D. Haas held a meeting with Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for Environment and Climate Affairs and Member of Parliament for Dhaka-9 Saber Hossain Chowdhury yesterday.
The meeting was held for about two hours at the residence of Saber Hossain Chowdhury in Paribagh of the capital on November 6.
Multiple sources have confirmed this. However, none ot them said anything about what was discussed between them.
It is known that Peter Haas entered the house of Saber Hossain Chowdhury at 2:30 in the afternoon. Later he left around 4:30 pm. The US ambassador did not speak to the media. Besides, Saber Hossain Chowdhury also did not come out of the house.
A source of US mission told Daily Industry that they have discussed the ongoing political issue and a participatory general election schedule to be announced soon. The US envoy advise the government to be tolerant and make space to the opposition, especially BNP.
