Probe body formedin Bangabazar fire
Staff Correspondent: A five-member investigation committee has been formed to find out the cause of the terrible fire in the capital’s Bangabazar.
Fire Service Director General Brigadier General Md. Main Uddin told reporters at its head office yesterday afternoon.
Brigadier General Md. Main Uddin said, the fire came under control around 12:30 noon. But it will take some more time to fully douse the blaze. We had to suffer to douse the blaze due to the wind and the crowd.
He also said, why attack on our members? Why hurt them? We will conduct a proper investigation of this fire and inform you.
Earlier, at least 50 units of the fire service worked to control the fire that broke out at 6:10 am. The tinshed two-storey market of Bangabazar has become a complete ruin.
