Recruitment of 38,000 teachers
Fake recommendations in FB
Staff Correspondent: The Ministry of Education has taken an initiative to appoint 38,000 teachers despite the verification is underway.
The ministry has taken the decision at a meeting recently. According to the decision, keeping the verification continue, the recommendations will be issued for the appointment of these teachers. The ministry has already sent a letter to the Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) to implement the decision.
After getting the letter, NTRCA held a meeting in presence of its chairman, and they will issue recommendation letters to all soon.
However, recommendation letters have been seen at Facebook since Wednesday night. NTRC member (Examination Evaluation and Certification) ABM Shawkat Iqbal Shaheen (Joint Secretary) said those were fake.
Yesterdaymorning, he told that “We have come to know that fake recommendations are being given through social media. We are taking preparations to file a case against them. They have copied our previous recommendation letters and published those. There is no signature of any of us and no mention of date. I request no candidate should be confused in this”.
It was learned NTRCA published a public notice on March 30 last year for appointment of more than 54,000 teachers in the non-government educational institutions.
Due to non-receipt of applications and lack of qualified candidates in the women’s quota, NTRCA initially recommended to appoint 38,286 persons keeping excluded 15,325 posts.
