Stock markets lost Tk 10,000 cr capital after new budget

Al Ehsan: Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) jointly lost about Tk 10,000 crores market capital after announcing the budget. Ahead the Eid ul Azha, a possibility would ariseto continue losing capital for the next two weeks in both markets.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal proposed the budget Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-2023 on June 09. That day, the DSE market capital was Tk 5 lakhs 22 thousand and 881 crore and the CSE market capital was Tk 4 lakhs 53 thousand and 880 crore. Yesterday, the closing market capital wasTk 5 lakhs 17 thousand and 255 crore in DSE and Tk 4 lakhs 49 thousand and 688 crore in CSE. DSE lost Tk 5626 crore and CSE lost Tk 4192 crore market capital. Total amount of the losing amount is Tk. 9818 crore.
On the budget proposed day, DSE trade value amount was Tk 758 crore and CSE trade value amount was Tk 30 crore. Last two days, DSE trade value amount was Tk 654 crore and Tk 662 crore and CSE trade value amount were Tk 17 and 28 crore. There were less trading in the both stock markets in the running week.
DSE lost Tk 2776 croreon 12 June and Tk 2281 crore lost on 13June in this year. And CSE also lost Tk 1471 crore on 12 June and Tk 2595 crore on 13 June.
