Tk 2.45 lakh cr deficit in budget 2022-23

Staff Correspand: The amount of deficit in the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2022-23 will stand at Tk 2,45,064 crore which accounts for 5.5 percent of the country’s total GDP. 

The deficit will be met from domestic and foreign sources, Finance Minister said this while placing a proposed budget of Tk 6,78,064 crore for FY 2022-23 in Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.

In the budget, the goal of credit from domestic sources to meet the deficit was fixed at Tk 1,46,335 crore while Bangladesh will borrow Tk 1,12,458 crore from abroad.
