Tourists flocking Kuakata Sea Beach

Patuakhali Correspondent: All the tourist centers in the country have recently been opened after shut being down for a long time due to the government-announced lockdown to curb the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Kuakata Sea Beach in Patuakhali, popularly known as ‘Sagarakanya’, has become resounded with the flocking of thousands of tourists. After being home-at-stuck for a long time, the boisterous tourists are crowding at every point of the beach. Kuakata beach has regained its usual look.
It has been seen on the spot that tourists are enjoying the sunrise, sunset and visiting Kuakata’s Lebur Char, Zhaoban, Gangamatir Lake, Kawar Char, Buddhist Temple, Kuakata’s Historical Well, Srimangal Buddhist Monastery, Rakhine Weaving Village and other places.
Due to the favorable weather, people from different walks of life are flocking to Kuakata with their family and friends from far and wide.
Meanwhile, the tourist police are active at every point of the beach to prevent COVID infection. They are campaigning in various ways including miking to follow the hygiene rules.
Tourist police say they are vigilant to ensure maintaining the beautiful environment in the Kuakata beach area. Everyone is being made aware about going to sea and miking to follow the hygiene rules.
Local businessman Mehedi Hasan said “limited number of tourists” have started coming, however, the number will increase after August 30. Hopefully, there will be no problem this time. Hotel owners have yet to start a full-fledged business. If the number of tourists increases, the business will gain momentum.
Tourist Masum said traffic was closed due to restrictions, as a result, we did not go anywhere for a long time. Now we got a chance to visit Kuakata with friends.
According to the district administration, visitors to Kuakata have been instructed to travel in compliance with the hygiene rules. The administration and the tourist police are active all the time.
