Students to be vaccinated with birth certificate

Staff Correspondent: Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said that she had held a meeting with Vice Chancellors (VCs) of all universities approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and others concerned parties. Most the students and teachers have already come under the Covid vaccine coverage. VCS requested to provide at least single dose to those who have yet not received the vaccine. We took initiatives to arrange vaccine on the basis of that request.
For this, all the students, teachers and staff of the universities have to complete the registration on the Surokkha app for coronavirus vaccine by September 27. Once the registration is completed, students will be able to go to the university’s medical center to get vaccinated, and will also be able to go to the local vaccination center wherever they are. The Syndicate and the Academic Council will be able to reopen the university any day after September 27.
The Minister said this while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a new building and release of fish fry at Eden Women’s College yesterday.
She said in order to avoid any problem in getting vaccinated, the students who have NID but have not been vaccinated will get vaccinated by completing the registration of vaccine on the Surrokkha app by September 27. And the students who do not have NID will complete the registration by entering the University Grants Commission (UGC) weblink as a student against their respective university using birth certificate. After the student completes the registration, he/she will complete the registration on the Surrokkha app.
And those who do not have even a birth certificate will collect the birth certificate first and then complete the registration. After the registration, the vaccine has to be received by registering the vaccine on the Surrokkha app. It is compulsory for everyone to complete the registration by September 27.
